A little bit of schmaltz

Over the years I have been surrounded by amazing, supportive, generous friends. I am the world's worst correspondent so I have lost touch with many as we've all moved about. But I have read some things of late that have just wanted me to post this.
This kite is for those, who I have never forgotten, who just happen to be Jewish. You have helped make me the person that I am and I miss you.
Post post note.
So i shared this on FB (my only social media account), because the whole point was to try and do a bit of solidarity... and then was curious that the image didn't show. I had no reactions, which I thought was fine, until I just did another post for Open Studios and I get an instant reaction.
So my conclusion is that FB never put the post into any "friend"'s feed and the kite was- by human or computer edited out. Presumably as potentially an issue. Which saddens me. I wouldn't normally use a religious symbol as I am not that keen on them as way of demarcating people (hence the star is definitely a bit squiffy), but my original plan of writing all the Jewish culture things I love was a bit wordy. And I wanted to do a little shout out to lost friends.
So this post can definitely go the way of the lost message in a bottle, perhaps one day to be found by someone scrolling through my blog... Co-operation please- we have bigger problems than what we heedlessly inflict on each other.
